Who we are

Soft Aware is a South African software company. The public product is Soft Aware Reception: an AI-powered front desk for businesses. Assistants are trained on the customer’s own knowledge (website URLs, pasted text, and documents), then published as a standalone page, an embed on an existing site, or a WordPress shortcode.

This is not a parked domain. The interactive site is a web application; this HTML is the readable company and product description for search engines, assistants, and browsers that do not run JavaScript.

What Reception does

  • Greets & answers — Trained on your business: services, policies, and FAQs.
  • Open in minutes — Init, train, publish. No page-builder sprint required.
  • Routes enquiries — Captures visitor details and sends them to a webhook or inbox.
  • Guides to action — Conversation toward booking, buying, or contacting you.
  • Deploy to your hosting — Generate a landing page and push it over FTP/SFTP. Soft Aware does not host the customer website; it serves the AI chat loader.
  • Know what works — Telemetry on visits, messages, and captured leads.

Three client-side deploy paths

Your website files live on your hosting. Soft Aware generates HTML and uploads via SFTP/FTP; embed.js loads chat from the Soft Aware API into a Shadow DOM on your domain.

  • Standalone — Static HTML with hero, about, services, and reception chat. Deploy via SFTP/FTP from the portal, or download and upload yourself.
  • Embed — Paste a reception-embed div plus embed.js on any page you already host. Default is a floating chat button; data-mode="inline" for an embedded panel.
  • WordPress — Plugin shortcode [reception id="rec_…"] outputs an inline chat panel.

How it works

  1. Open your Reception — Name it, link an AI assistant, and set where enquiries should be routed (email or webhook).
  2. Train your team (AI) — Feed URLs, text, or documents so the reception knows what to say about your business.
  3. Publish and receive visitors — Generate static HTML and deploy via FTP, or paste the embed snippet on a site you already run. Chat loads from embed.js.
