## What the company does

Soft Aware builds Soft Aware Reception. A business trains an assistant on its own knowledge (website URLs, pasted text, documents), then publishes a reception that:

1. Greets every visitor
2. Answers from that trained knowledge (services, policies, FAQs)
3. Captures enquiries and routes them to email, webhook, or API

Soft Aware does not host the customer’s public website. The customer’s files stay on the customer’s hosting. Soft Aware generates HTML and can upload it over SFTP/FTP, or the customer pastes an embed snippet. Chat loads from embed.js into a Shadow DOM on the customer’s domain.

This domain is an active product site, not a parked or placeholder page. The app is a JavaScript single-page application; this file and the HTML on https://softaware.net.za/ exist so assistants and crawlers can read the company without executing JavaScript.

## Deploy paths

Three delivery formats. Soft Aware does not host the customer domain.

- Embed: paste a `reception-embed` div plus `embed.js` on any existing page. Default is a floating chat button (FAB); `data-mode="inline"` for an in-page panel. Self-serve. Available on Free.
- WordPress: native Gutenberg block or shortcode `[reception id="rec_…"]` (inline panel by default). Self-serve. Available on Free. Live demo: https://wordpress.softaware.net.za/ (wp-admin: demo / demo; connection locked).
- Active Surface (standalone / turnkey): a full React 18 SPA with catalogue, RFQ, in-SPA 2FA admin, and reception chat, deployed to the customer’s own hosting via SFTP/FTP or a zip. Quoted project — not included on Free.

When a conversation quota is exhausted: embed and WordPress fall back to a contact-capture card. An Active Surface website stays up; only live AI pauses.

## How it works

1. Open a Reception — name it, link an AI assistant, set enquiry routing (email or webhook).
2. Train — ingest website URLs, pasted text, and (on paid plans) documents.
3. Publish — FTP the generated page, or paste the embed snippet. Visitors chat immediately.
